The employers I have been privileged to serve

My career has been shaped by exceptional organisations. From Morgan Grenfell's Soviet & Eastern Europe desk to the World Bank, each role has taught me how infrastructure can positively transform communities and nations.

The experience I have gained to help you now

Infrastructure is as much a social construction as it is physical. For every project, a melting pot of social, cultural, economic, financial, environmental and political needs and wants all need to be balanced. The following are examples of some of the projects I'm proud to have been involved with.

Research deepens practice

Six years of PhD research (now under examination) on the topic Investigating Infrastructure Strategy in Disruptive Futures has led me to a deeper understanding of infrastructure futures, the inspiration for The Infrastructure Futures Review. The research website can be found here, and a number of papers can be found here. The following interviews are more digestible.

Some ways I can help you

MacGeorge & Co. is the agency through which I deliver a range of services, often in collaboration with others who bring complementary skills:

International Development

Supporting international financial institutions, including the World Bank, to assist low- and middle-income countries in addressing complex infrastructure challenges is a core focus of the practice.

Infrastructure Futures Strategy

Developing robust infrastructure strategies approaches that supplement traditional forecasting. These better accommodates rapid change and systemic disruption to help clients navigate complex planning challenges where conventional approaches can fall short.

Education and Mentoring

Designing and delivering specialised training programs for development practitioners, government officials, and infrastructure professionals on topics including infrastructure finance, private capital mobilization, and strategic planning.

Data as Infrastructure

An emerging concept recognising data as a critical component of national infrastructure, complementing traditional digital and physical systems. Data sovereignty, privacy, resilience, business continuity and the role of AI are all components of this concept. These are areas of active interest for MacGeorge & Co.
